Kicking Horse Mountain Resort - Winter 2023/2024

You are a key member of our team, continually striving to provide our guests with the finest mountain recreational experience by ensuring a safe and well-maintained resort in regard to snow removal.

Snow Remover - Winter 2023/2024

You are a key member of our team, continually striving to provide our guests with the finest mountain recreational experience by ensuring a safe and well-maintained resort in regard to snow removal.

You will:

\xc2\xb7 Operate snow removal and other equipment (front-end loader, Bob Cat, large snowplows, snow blowers) in a safe and responsible manner.

\xc2\xb7 Engage in snow removal maintenance of Facilities, Parking Areas, Plaza area and general common areas.

\xc2\xb7 Perform snow removal in an effective and efficient manner as directed by Mountain Operations management.

\xc2\xb7 Complete in-house training for working at heights and be comfortable working at high elevations.

\xc2\xb7 Perform daily light maintenance (topping up fluids, cleaning interior and exterior, greasing, and fuelling of machinery as needed).

\xc2\xb7 Recognize and report unusual noises and conditions to team leader or maintenance.

\xc2\xb7 Perform pre- and post-trip inspections including removal of snow from equipment at end of shift.

\xc2\xb7 Act as a \xe2\x80\x9cResort Ambassador\xe2\x80\x9d to guests by being familiar with various resort products and services.

\xc2\xb7 Comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program.

\xc2\xb7 Work extended & flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays in extreme weather conditions.

\xc2\xb7 Assist with other duties as assigned.

You:

\xc2\xb7 Have previous experience operating a Bob Cat and/or large snowplow with bucket attachment and/or articulated front-end loader and/or comparable equipment with excellent safety record.

\xc2\xb7 Hold a valid class 5 license with a clear driver\'s abstract.

\xc2\xb7 Must be physically able to stand and turn, lift up to 30 pounds.

\xc2\xb7 Have a mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic operations and maintenance of equipment.

\xc2\xb7 Are team oriented, with a desire to make a positive contribution to the entire resort,

\xc2\xb7 Have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.

\xc2\xb7 Are trained with ropes - an asset.

\xc2\xb7 Have completed basic first aid training - an asset.
