The Winter Sales Staff positions are key customer services roles working within the Facilities team to operate the concession (non-alcoholic hot drinks & snacks) and facilitate on-site skate equipment rentals.

Key responsibilities
Customer service:
Serve as a front-line customer service representative for visitors and other members of the public
Handling transactions through a POS system
Perform closing duties which can vary from general cleaning, storing of equipment, re-stocking, and trash disposal
Safe handling and returning customers' private information and identification
Mixing and serving non-alcoholic beverages for customers
Handling skate sharpening requests (with provided training)
Assisting customers with skate fitting
Other duties as assigned related to the operations of The Bentway Skate Trail
Health and safety:
Ensure skate inventory is in safe working condition
Ensure bar equipment is in safe working condition
Maintain skate inventory blades through routine checking and sharpening
Maintain tidy and organized spaces through proper inventory systems
Cleaning and disinfecting returned helmets and skates, as needed
Assist with recording concerns, accidents and incidents, escalating when appropriate
Assist with or perform first aid and call emergency services when needed
Qualifications
Previous retail, serving, and/or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team environment and communicate with our visitors
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, and weekends in varied weather conditions
Current standard level First Aid/CPR-C would be an asset
Willing to work safely and to follow all required protocols
