OARA Youth Innovation Lab is looking for an energetic and responsible
Winter Camp Assistant
to support our STEM learning programs during the Winter Break. Our camps engage children ages 6-14 in fun, hands-on activities such as robotics, coding, engineering projects, and creative technology.
This position is ideal for high school graduates, college students, ECE assistants, or anyone who enjoys working with kids and wants to gain experience in STEM education.
Responsibilities
Support during daily STEM camp activities.
Assist children with robotics, coding, engineering challenges, and creative projects.
Supervise students during activities, transitions, and breaks.
Help set up and clean up each day's materials and learning space.
Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
Encourage teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
Communicate respectfully with students, parents, and staff.
Requirements
Enjoy working with children and supporting their learning.
Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organized.
Willingness to learn new STEM tools (training provided).
Experience working with children is an asset (not required).
Must be dependable and punctual.
Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one).

Winter Camp Duration:
2 weeks
Hours:
Approximately
7-8 hours per day
during the camp period.
Additional opportunities may be available throughout the year.
