Job Description
Farm Laborer Job Duties:
- Performs daily farming activities that are coordinated by the manager.
- Cultivating, planting, pruning, fertilizing, and harvesting crops
- Property maintenance such as power washing, wood-staining, and simple repairs.
- Aerating, top-dressing, fertilizing, mowing, and weed whacking the lawns.
- Weeding crop rows with hand tools.
- Weeding and preparing garden beds.
- Assist with general farm maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Assist in picking, weighing, and packing fruit for storage.
- General clean-up of growing, producing, and packing areas.
- Willingness to be outside in all weathers, and patience to undertake all sorts of practical, sometimes repetitive jobs.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- General knowledge of plants and the outdoors.
- Must be able to meet physical needs of the position; able to lift 50 lbs frequently and stand, kneel, crouch, or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, holidays, and weekends.
- Must be comfortable scaling ladders and using stairs frequently.
Contract length: 4 months Salary: From $17.00 per hour Benefits:
