Wine Experience Lead - Azhadi Vineyards (Opening Soon)

Position: Wine Experience Lead



At Azhadi Vineyards, hospitality is both art and discipline -- a balance of precision and warmth. The Wine Experience Lead ensures that balance is maintained every day by supporting the seamless flow of service, leading by example, and guiding the team to deliver refined, story-driven guest experiences.

This role blends operations, leadership, and front-line engagement. The Lead oversees daily tasting room activities, supports wine and retail sales, and steps confidently into any role -- from mentoring staff to hosting tastings -- to uphold Azhadi's standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Guest Experience & Service Leadership



Lead by example in delivering warm, polished tastings that reflect Azhadi's philosophy. Oversee service standards, ensuring every guest interaction aligns with brand values. Act as floor lead during peak periods, maintaining smooth flow and coverage. Address guest feedback promptly and professionally.

Team Support & Supervision



Conduct pre-shift briefings, role assignments, and end-of-day reports. Train and mentor Wine Ambassadors on service etiquette, storytelling, and sales techniques. Serve as the first point of contact for team questions or operational challenges. Support onboarding and ongoing development of staff through hands-on coaching.

Operations & Retail Oversight



Monitor inventory levels, restocking, and retail display standards. Ensure accurate POS transactions, club sign-ups, and reservation handling. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across guest areas. Support member events, off-site activations, and fulfillment tasks when needed.

Qualifications



Minimum 2 years of hospitality or wine industry experience with leadership responsibilities. Exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills. Strong wine knowledge and a natural ability to communicate it engagingly (WSET Level 2 preferred). Proficient with POS and reservation systems (WineDirect or Commerce7 an asset). Serving It Right certification required. Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and winery events.
