We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window and Door Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and doors across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. Duties



Measure openings accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure proper fitment of windows and doors. Install a variety of window types including casement, double-hung, sliding, and specialty windows with attention to detail. Hang and secure doors--interior, exterior, metal or wood--using appropriate hardware and techniques. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, chisels, levels, and measuring tapes to perform precise installations. Operate power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Perform heavy lifting of window units, doors, framing materials, and other components while maintaining proper safety protocols. Apply caulking around installed windows and doors to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency. Fabricate custom frames or modify existing structures using metal stud framing or carpentry skills as needed. Read blueprints, schematics, or mechanical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately. Conduct fixture installation such as locks, handles, hinges, trim carpentry elements, cabinets or other hardware components. Engage in remodeling tasks that involve metal fabrication or electrical experience for integrated installations. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently on-site. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety standards at all times.

Requirements



Proven experience in window and door installation within construction or remodeling environments. Strong knowledge of glass installation techniques along with welding skills for custom fabrication needs. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for precise fitting and secure mounting of components. Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper ergonomic practices. Skilled in door hanging procedures including alignment, hardware installation, and lockset setup. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings to interpret project specifications accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to fixture installation, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, locksmithing or electrical systems is highly desirable. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols is required. Knowledge of metal stud framing or remodeling projects adds value to your application. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site when faced with unforeseen challenges. Valid certifications in relevant trades (e.g., OSHA safety certification) are preferred but not mandatory.
