About Us

Peaskie Minerals is a premier supplier of domestically sourced proppants and silica flour to the West Central Sedimentary Basin (WCSB).

Our facility is located approximately 12 km north of Redwater or a 45-minute drive from north Edmonton.

Please note this is NOT a camp position. Candidates must live in the area or be willing to commute.

Position

: Winch Truck Operator

Terms of Employment:

Full-Time

Rate

: $42.12/hourly, Overtime after 8 hours per day

Schedule

: 5 on / 2 off, Days (Ability to work overtime and varying shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays) - 10 hours per day

Duties & Responsibilities

Transports heavy equipment and materials throughout various job sites Load and unload equipment and materials as required, following safety rules and regulations Ensure loads are secure using proper tools (chains, tarps, etc.) Maintain vehicle log book and field level hazard assessments in an accurate and timely manner Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip on assigned truck daily Clean and maintain assigned truck during and after each use Understand and obey all provincial highway rules and regulations Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company's Code of Ethics Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics Other duties as assigned

Education & Training

5 years experience Must have a valid Class 1 driver's license Heavy equipment operation an asset Trailer configuration experience (jeeps, wheelers, etc.) Off road experience an asset Oversize load experience an asset

Physical requirements

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time Must be able to talk and hear audible sounds and voices Must be able to frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle objects, feel and reach with hands and arms. Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and on occasion up to 70 lbs. Ability to perform physically demanding work including repetitive crouching, bending, kneeling, and shoveling. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This is a safety sensitive position. The candidate in this role must be able to pass a functional fit test as well as a drug and alcohol test.
