Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced

Winch Truck Driver

for transportation routes across Saskatchewan. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting equipment and various commodities within the province, ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Load and Unload Freight

: You will be expected to handle all loading and unloading of freight independently.

Class 1A Vehicle Operation

: Operate Class 1 vehicles across Saskatchewan, maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with provincial regulations.

Autonomous Work

: Ability to work independently in remote areas, without direct supervision.

Regulatory Compliance

: Ensure adherence to all provincial transportation regulations and safety standards.

Vehicle Inspections

: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure they are roadworthy.

Communication with Dispatch

: Maintain regular communication with dispatch regarding schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise during transit.

Record Keeping

: Accurately maintain trip records, including logs and delivery documentation.

Load Security

: Safely secure and transport loads to ensure they arrive in excellent condition.

Mechanical Aptitude

: Strong mechanical inclination to perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.

Requirements:

Valid Class 1A Driver's License

: Required to operate Class 1 vehicles.

Clean Driver's Abstract

: Updated abstracts will be prioritized.

Experience

: Minimum of 2 years of driving experience preferred.

Familiarity with Saskatchewan Highways

: In-depth knowledge of Saskatchewan roads, routes, and regulations.

Independent Work

: Ability to work autonomously while maintaining schedules and high standards of safety.
