We are seeking a reliable and skilled Winch Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy haul, winch trucks, lowboy, oilfield, off highway commercial driving regulations, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
Transporting pipe and heavy equipment by operating a tractor and lowboy scissor neck, and equipment trailers throughout various job sites in Alberta
Ensuring loads are secure by utilizing chains, tarps, as required.
General maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle as required - daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks.
Maintaining electronic logbooks, field level hazard assessments and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner
Keep the truck in clean condition.
Participate in toolbox and safety meetings.
Working with other members of the team in a professional manner to ensure we provide the best service possible to internal and external clients.
Requirements
Minimum of five years transporting heavy equipment
Experience with GPS systems an asset.
Must have a valid class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement - candidate to provide a clean 5-year commercial driver's abstract.
Demonstrated ability, with extensive experience operating winch tractor, and scissor neck trailers.
Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment and transport regulation within the oil and gas industry.
Willingness to work long hours including weekends.
Able to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Must be fit-for-duty.
Must be able to pass pre-employment alcohol, drug and marijuana testing.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
