We're seeking a passionate and reliable individual based in Calgary, to join our Wholesale Relationships team for a 12-month maternity leave contract (with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position). This role's primary responsibility will be remotely managing the Ontario and Manitoba wholesale market, ensuring continuity of service and support while the incumbent team member is on leave. In addition, this person will support day-to-day administrative and operational tasks within the Business Development department.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:



Serve as the temporary point of contact for wholesale customers in Ontario and Manitoba, based out of the Calgary office. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers, providing guidance, product recommendations, demos, and troubleshooting support. Identify opportunities for account growth through regular communication, follow-ups, and monitoring customer activity. Assist with approving wholesale applications, onboarding new accounts, and maintaining accurate customer databases. Support with order entry, pricing updates, product documentation, and dropshipping programs. Generate reports on lead generation, sales activity, and other key performance indicators. Research and identify new wholesale business opportunities via online research, email campaigns, social media, and networking events. Represent Eight Ounce Coffee at trade shows, competitions, and industry events to build brand presence and strengthen networks. Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Experience, Procurement, and Business Development) to share insights, align strategies, and optimize customer support. Participate in weekly team meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge workshops to stay up-to-date on products, trends, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:



Minimum 2+ years of experience in the coffee industry (cafe, retail, wholesale, or related) Based in Calgary, with the ability to travel throughout the country as needed A valid Class 5 driver's licence and a clean driving record Must meet eligibility requirements to be added to our company vehicle insurance policy (this includes being at least 25 years of age) Strong communication skills in person, by email, and over the phone, with a natural ability to build relationships Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working and managing time independently Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines while balancing travel and events

Preferred/Nice to Have:



Proficient in French Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms Background in wholesale distribution account management, or sales
