A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be part of the Performance and Analytics department that provides system-level support in the development of innovative solutions for aero-derivative gas turbines. In your role as a Whole Engine Integration Specialist, you will contribute to the design, development and validation of robust, flexible and highly efficient gas turbine engines. You will have an active role in supporting existing customers and creating new solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our products through cycle changes and the use of alternate fuels. To achieve this, you will coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver whole engine solutions to project and product requirements.
How You'll Make an Impact

• You will study customer needs, existing analytical work and best practice guidance to help decide on how to solve problems
• You will look for opportunities to build on prior knowledge when generating solutions
• You will help to understand and quantify project and technical risk
• You will represent the Performance & Analytics skill and make recommendations to Project Managers, Product Managers, Technical Support Service and the Engineering community
• You will plan, execute, and lead engine test campaigns, acting as the interface between engineering, products and manufacturing

What You Bring

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another discipline relevant to performance engineering
• You have the legal right to work in Canada
• You have an inquisitive nature and pragmatic problem-solving skills
• You have strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively summarise complex issues
• You are motivated by contributing to multi-disciplinary teams and the development of innovative engineering solutions
• You have an interest in gas turbine technology and working to develop it to remain a useful technology throughout the energy transition
• This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.

About the Team
The Performance and Analytics department, within the Core Engineering group, are committed to providing high quality technical work in support of AGT programs. From preliminary engine design concepts to production and in-service support, we cover all aspects of aero-derivative gas turbine performance analysis. Leveraging our rich aerospace background, we combine innovation and passion to enable AGT to achieve its goals.

Un apercu de votre journee
Vous ferez partie du departement Performance et Analytique et travaillerez au developpement de solutions innovantes dans le domaine des turbines a gaz aeroderivees. Dans votre role de specialiste de l'integration de systemes de moteurs, vous contribuerez a la conception, au developpement et a la validation de moteurs a turbine a gaz robustes, flexibles et efficaces. Vous jouerez un role actif dans le soutien des clients existants et la creation de nouvelles solutions pour reduire l'impact environnemental de nos produits grace a des changements de cycle et a l'utilisation de carburants alternatifs. Pour y parvenir, vous coordonnerez et dirigerez des equipes multidisciplinaires afin de fournir des solutions de moteur completes aux exigences du projet et du produit.
Comment vous ferez la difference

• Vous etudierez les besoins des clients, le travail d'analyse existant et les conseils sur les meilleures pratiques pour aider a decider de la facon de resoudre les problemes.
• Vous rechercherez des occasions de vous appuyer sur des connaissances anterieures pour generer des solutions.
• Vous aiderez a comprendre et a quantifier les risques techniques et de projet.
• Vous representerez les competences du departement Performance et Analytique et ferez des recommandations aux chefs de projet, aux chefs de produit, au service de support technique et a la communaute des ingenieurs
• Vous planifierez, executerez et dirigerez des campagnes de tests de moteurs, en agissant comme l'interface entre l'ingenierie, les produits et la fabrication.

Ce que vous apportez a l'entreprise

• Vous etes titulaire d'un baccalaureat ou d'une maitrise en genie mecanique ou dans une autre discipline pertinente a l'ingenierie de la performance.
• Vous avez le droit legal de travailler au Canada.
• Vous avez une nature curieuse et des competences pragmatiques en resolution de problemes.
• Vous avez de solides competences en communication et en presentation, y compris la capacite de resumer efficacement des problemes complexes.
• Vous etes motive par la contribution a des equipes multidisciplinaires et le developpement de solutions d'ingenierie innovantes.
• Vous avez un interet pour la technologie des turbines a gaz et travaillez a la developper pour qu'elle reste une technologie utile tout au long de la transition energetique.
• Ce poste se deroule dans un environnement francophone, mais necessite la maitrise de l'anglais pour comprendre la documentation et les termes techniques provenant de sources internationales, et pour communiquer avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collegues internationaux.
