The Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager of Commercial Enablement to join our Non-Regulated Commercial and Business Development (C&BD) department. This is a unique opportunity to continuously improve an effective, collaborative, and creative team administering a critical link in connecting secure, affordable and sustainable Canadian natural gas to the world: the Coastal GasLink (CGL) pipeline and related business opportunities.
In this role, you will lead the team responsible for ensuring that commercial governance requirements are met and alignment across the business development, project, and operational life cycle of all Non-Regulated Canada Gas opportunities and assets. This will ensure collaboration, compliance, and efficiency for the full department. You will report to the Director of Commercial - CGL.
We will count on your leadership, attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that CGL's commercial and contractual obligations are fulfilled while supporting the entire Non-Regulated C&BD team in contributing to business unit and TC Energy reporting and communications.
Your scope will include the operating CGL and Ventures LP pipelines, CGL's equity partners, and growth opportunities like the Cedar Link Project and CGL Phase 2 Project.
What you'll doMaintain commercial contract expertise: Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the CGL commercial strategies and agreements and playing a leadership role in ensuring the commercial obligations are met for CGL and its counterparties Enhance governance: By seamlessly overseeing committee meetings, tracking action items, ensuring compliance with committee Terms of References (TORs), and managing the Decision Record and Notice processes, you will ensure that all governance activities are conducted with precision and accountability Maintain the integrity of commercial records: By maintaining one source of truth for commercial records, managing secure access permissions, and contributing records for internal and external audits, you will ensure transparency and efficiency in finding commercial records Ensure compliance with commercial commitments: Through managing a commercial commitment tracker tool, you will facilitate coordination between commercial teams and internal partners to track and meet all commitments on time Intentional leadership: You will lead, manage and mentor direct reports by allocating work, setting performance expectations, evaluating performance and outcomes, and providing coaching Coordinate reporting, communication, and information sharing: By aligning Non-Regulated C&BD team contributions to corporate processes such as investor relations content, financial reporting (e.g., Management's Discussion and Analysis material), Board of Directors and executive reporting (i.e., President's Report), and other reporting to streamline contributions and ensure consistent, up-to-date content. You will continuously improve internal knowledge-sharing into the Non-Regulated C&BD team, such as market intelligence and energy fundamentals data, to inform origination and commercial activities Collaboration and stakeholder management: By strategically developing relationships with internal and external partners, you will ensure smooth and effective collaboration

Minimum QualificationsPost-secondary education in a relevant field of study 10+ years of progressive and relevant work experience, must include experience working in a project and commercial or business development capacity Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated business and commercial acumen, including a strong understanding of the components of commercial agreements Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to establish effective relationships with customers and internal cross functional teams to deliver quality customer experience and achieve business goals Self-motivated and skilled at managing ambiguity and sensitive information in a fast-paced, deliverable-oriented environment Ability to influence and solve problems cross-functionally to identify, develop and implement solutions Ability to manage and continuously improve processes and procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating group discussions, meetings and delivering presentations to internal and external senior and executive leadership Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc. to ensure confidentiality and compliance while facilitating appropriate information sharing and transparency

Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated leadership capabilities in the areas of personnel management, decision making, change management, employee development, performance management, and team building skills across a professional team with varying levels of experience Knowledge of the CGL commercial strategies and agreements is an asset Relationships with internal or external stakeholders to TC Energy's Canadian natural gas business unit or specifically CGL are an asset Knowledge of the Canadian energy industry, specifically Western Canadian natural gas markets and infrastructure, is an asset
