West Digital Account Specialist Lead (DASL)

The Digital Account Specialist Lead (DASL) is an active member of the DFS Canada team who works closely with the local Bayer RSAM and Market Development Leads. DASLs are responsible for managing a Digital Account Specialist team to ensure that digital farming objectives and key results outlined by the Bayer Crop Science are achieved.

This is a home-based permanent position requiring day travel within Western Canada, ideally based in Alberta or Saskatchewan.

What you will do:

  • Manage a team of Digital Account Specialist providing leadership and work direction to achieve digital farming success metrics
  • Responsible for the engagement tactics execution and delivery of yearly results as outlined by Bayer Crop Science
  • Support Regional digital strategy outlined by the Digital Account Manager by providing engagement support via the Digital Account Specialist team
  • Maintain and build working relationships with local Regional Sales Account Manager (RSAM) and Market Development Lead (MDL) from the Bayer Crop Science organization
  • Coordinate cross functionally with key accounts, including senior management and internal stakeholders, to help develop and implement business strategies supporting the Climate FieldView platform
  • Drive the business strategy with focus on farmer customers; establish acre penetration, farmer adoption, active use and retention rates
  • Define Digital Account Specialist business and personal development goals
Who you are:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferable in Agri-Business, Ag-Economics, Agronomy or Ag-Sciences)
  • 5 or more years of experience with business planning in agronomy with bringing new technology products/services to market
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills in managing a team for at least 2 years
  • Ability to influence and motivate business partners and sales channels; strong work ethic, high sense of urgency, resilient and process driven
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience and proficiency in leading small and large group presentations.
  • Ability to master value-based selling and effectively develop, demonstrate and communicate unique value propositions for a market changing service.
  • Certified Crop Science Consultant (CCSC) Designation or in process of attaining
  • Ability to get one of following: P.Ag ; R.T Ag Designation; Order of Agronomists (QC) or CCA designation
  • Possess a valid driver's license
