Permanent Full-Time Wellness Supervisor

The TLC is seeking a passionate leader with wellness, fitness, licensed preschool, day camp programming, and operational experience to join our Leadership Team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Wellness Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the effective, efficient and safe delivery of all dryland wellness programs and services. This position is also responsible for the overall supervision of the Fitness Centre and Child Minding Centre and all associated operations. The Wellness Supervisor may be required to work outside of traditional business hours.

The Wellness Supervisor demonstrates strong, fair leadership and consistently uses critical thinking to drive informed decisions. Additional key competencies include excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills; strong interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills; and a customer-centric business approach. Budget management is essential.

A degree in Kinesiology, Recreation, Physical Education or related degree is preferred with 3-5 years of related experience. Certifications in the following are an asset: Personal Trainer or Certified Exercise Physiologist, fitness instruction, HIGH FIVE, and/or childcare. Experience with IntelliLeisure is beneficial. Prior to start of employment, the successful candidate must provide evidence of current Intermediate Aid (with CPR/AED) taken within the last two (2) years and provide a clear criminal and vulnerable sector check.
