The Wellness Program Coordinator
is responsible for the planning, coordination, and operational oversight of community-based health and wellness programs at
Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes (CCCKL)
. The role ensures that programs are delivered safely, consistently, and in alignment with organizational standards by coordinating schedules, resources, volunteers, and program logistics.
This position provides day-to-day operational support to program teams and community partners, monitors service quality and program performance, and supports participant engagement through communication, information sharing, and coordination. While the role does not deliver direct clinical services, it plays a key role in enabling accessible, high-quality wellness programming across the community.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of health and wellness programs that support clients, caregivers, and community initiatives within the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Support the Health Promoter and agency in meeting service goals through evidence-informed program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Coordinate program schedules, resources, and logistics to ensure effective program flow and consistent delivery.
Develop and maintain program calendars in collaboration with the Health Promoter and program team.
Identify opportunities for program improvement and participate in the development of new wellness initiatives.
Coordinate and facilitate wellness programs and activities
Support evidence-informed program planning and evaluation
Track participation and prepare reports
Support volunteers and community partners
Coordinate program communications and promotion
Maintain relationships with clients, caregivers, and community partners
Supports the agency in meeting service goals, by developing, implementing, and evaluating programs to respond to those needs.
Educates and advocates on behalf of the Community and our clients.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
Relevant education i.e. health promotion, recreation, public health, or social and behavioural health sciences or a combination of work experience
Demonstrated experience with group facilitation delivery, training and evaluation.
Demonstrated knowledge or experience with volunteer management.
Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations, effectively utilizing negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated organizational, communication skills and organizational effectiveness
Broad understanding of DEI principles of inclusivity
This role requires the successful incumbent to be available for flexible scheduling, lift up-to 50lbs, and requires a reliable means of transportation within the City limits.
WAGE
The wage range for this exciting opportunity is
$22.54 - $24.68
. Selected candidates will be appropriately placed on the organizations wage grid based on skill, knowledge and experience.*
