Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: DCI DepartmentJob Post End Date: 06/14/2024About this opportunity:We are seeking two Well Intervention Supervisors with proven experience in the oil and gas industry in the core areas of Well Intervention. The selected individuals will have the core skills and qualifications to effectively support the role responsibilities outlined. This position will support the SSDCI Operations Team with a focus on Well Intervention Operations Execution. The ideal candidates would have a global experience base of platform Well Intervention operations, knowledge of our Atlantic Region Jeanne d Arc Basin projects and harsh environment offshore subsea and platform operations. Drilling and Completions operations would be an asset.This position is a full-time, permanent position, located at our St. Johns office during the project phase and will transition to an offshore rotation during operation phase.What youll do:The Well Intervention Supervisor will be responsible for supporting West White Rose Project (WWRP) DCI team to ensure operational readiness during the pre-operations including but not limited to the following work scopes:Facility familiarization in support of operational readiness and work with the partners; project, construction, and operation teams.Contribute to safety program, health and environment protection, reliability, and efficiency in order to achieve extraordinary performance. Actively participate in both behavioral based safety and site safety walk programs.Provide support for the integration, installation, and commissioning of Third Party well intervention equipment packages.Assist in the completion, technical review and revision of operational documentation.The position will also be responsible for Well Intervention operations supervision offshore NL on the West White Rose Platform. This position will work closely with the SSDCI Team, Cenovus Production Operations Team and Cenovus Third Party Service Contractors to safely execute Well Intervention operations.Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:Process Safety/Operational Integrity: Ensure that operations are conducted with alignment to WWRP Major Accident Hazard Assessment/Bowtie, Safety Critical Element (SCE) Performance Standards, Well Control/Pressure Control and barrier compliance procedures.WWRP Interface and Supervision: Collaborate with Cenovus Third Party Service Providers, Production Operations, O&M Contractor and DCI Engineering.Work with Production Operations and Drilling and Completions Operations for Platform Wide SIMOPS execution.Logistics planning and coordination of equipment, tooling, personnel, and materials to support the Well Intervention operations. Development of detailed Operating Procedures to ensure that Well Intervention operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and within budget.Responsible for ensuring safe and efficient Well Intervention operations are conducted in compliance with applicable Well Intervention Programs, Cenovus Policies and Procedures as well as Regulatory requirements.Review post well intervention operations key performance indicators against desired. Identify any issues or challenges encountered during the operation to drive continuous improvement for future operations.Drive continuous improvement, optimization, and well operations delivery technical limit initiatives, and implement technologies and techniques for well design and operations efficiency optimization.Who you are:Industry Certification from a recognized post-secondary institution; Technologist Diploma or Engineering/Geoscience Degree.10+ years offshore platform/subsea Well Intervention experience.Strong technical skills and operational experience in the area of Well Intervention operations including slickline, electric line and coiled tubing operations. Familiarity with relevant software and technology is also vital.Knowledgeable in safety procedures, regulations, and industry standards in Drilling and Completions Operations, including C-NLOPB and Certifying Authority regulatory requirements, as well as quality assurance and quality control for Well Interventions operations.Knowledge of equipment, personnel, and operating practices associated with offshore Well Intervention operations, along with experience in behavioral safety systems, incident investigation, and emergency response.Knowledge in well design and construction in areas of drilling, completions, interventions, and subsurface production.Experience with Platform Interventions including Coiled Tubing Operations, Slickline operations and ESPs.Extensive operational experience in Subsea and Platform Intervention, including project planning, integration, commissioning, start-up, and expertise in both platform intervention packages and subsea equipment, such as subsea field infrastructure and interface equipment.Project management experience full project life cycle - concept selection, planning, execution, performance monitoring, and close out.OffshoreThis is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to offshore pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a CAPP medical and BST/HUEBA testingYou must be able to travel via helicopter and boat.
