As we continue to grow, we're looking for a capable and motivated Welding Shop Supervisor to lead daily operations and uphold our high standards of quality and safety.

The Welding Shop Supervisor will oversee day-to-day shop operations, coordinate workflow, and ensure projects are completed on time, on spec, and on budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive mindset to support both the team and management in delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support welders, fabricators, and apprentices in daily tasks Interpret shop drawings and ensure fabrication meets technical specifications Assist with job scheduling, material flow, and resource allocation Monitor quality control and ensure adherence to safety protocols Liaise with the shop foreman to align shop output with project timelines Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Troubleshoot technical issues and provide hands-on support when needed Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment

Qualifications

5+ years of welding/fabrication experience with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or lead hand role. Proficient / knowledgeable in MACW, FCAW, GMAW SMAW and GTAW welding, plasma cutting, and all shop fabrication equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in using measuring tools and hand tools. Experience with Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) practices and procedures Familiarity with rigging practices and crane operations for safe material handling. Experience with forklifts / skidsteers. Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings effectively for accurate project execution. Solid understanding of basic math principles related to manufacturing processes. Experience in manufacturing environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team towards common goals. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
