Welder/ Welder Fitter
Job Description
Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as MIG, TIG and Flux-Core
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
Welders may specialize in certain types of welding such as custom fabrication, pressure vessel welding, pipeline construction welding or machinery and equipment repair welding
Previous fitting experience
Specialized Skill Required:
Experience in pressure vessel and TIG (aluminum and stainless steel) Pipe fitting/welding All position Tig Welding
Work Experience Required:
Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in a pressure vessel custom manufacturing shop
Minimum Education Required:
Completion of high school required
