is an expanding Welding Automation Company based in Woodstock Ontario. We are global supplier of premium Welding Positioners, Turning Rolls, Lathes, Turn Tables, and various machinery to automate manufacturing.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable

Welder/Fitter

to join our fabrication and assembly team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, fitting components, and welding metal parts to specification. This role requires a strong attention to detail, knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to work in a team or independently.

Tasks:

Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. Cut material using automatic saws and prepare for fabrication) Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded & post weld clean-up Align components and clamp pieces Weld components using mig welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws Clean workpieces and/or prepare for further processing

Job Requirements:

Proven experience as welder / fabricator Proper fitting to ensure alignment is critical Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, tape measure, calipers etc.) Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing Quality workmanship, efficiency and ability to work independently Professional Certification (e.g. an CWB welding certificate) is beneficial All candidates must possess a valid G driver's license
