Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing is growing, and we're on the lookout for highly motivated, safety-conscious Welders (Site Based), whose primary responsibilities are completing welds on new and existing structural steel according to engineered prints and quality standards. Quality work and timely completion of all aspects of work performed is required. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment. Project Details:


Camp-based; 14/7 schedule; 12-hour shifts


What You'll Be Doing


Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Participation in the preparation and following of safety procedures & permits throughout the course of their work
Install various types of rigging and other hoisting equipment
Disassembly and/or removal of existing structural steel components
Assemble and/or installation of new or modified structural steel components
Operator hoisting and lifting devices


What You Bring to the Table


CWB certification FCAW All Position, SMAW All Position
Valid fall protection certification
Experience working in a safety-sensitive environment
Experience in a construction environment is considered an asset
Comfortable working at heights
Valid 5A Driver's License is required
Any safety-related training and certificates would be beneficial, but not required
Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to use judgement and apply discretion when making decisions
Ability to work alone or in a team environment
Strong time-management skills
