Job Description
As a Welder you will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment. You will repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in a safe manner at a high production rate Rigging and hoisting with overhead crane Fix and rewire welding machines (wire rolls weigh 40lbs) Lift and hold 50lbs and be able to set it down gently Stand for 8-10 hours Climb up and down equipment to fit parts or to weld parts sometimes one handed MIG weld: dual shield flux core 0.45 (95%) hard wire 0.35 (5%) Be able to read and interpret blueprints
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
3rd year apprentice Red Seal Strong capacity for teamwork Good communication skills Demonstrate initiative and autonomy
