Overview



The Welder is responsible for daily welding production requirements, ensuring the efficiency of manufacturing and fabrication of conveyor belts.

Responsibilities

:

Under the supervision of the welding supervisor, the duties and responsibilities of the Welder include, but are not limited to, the following:

Delivers high-quality production work, promptly notifies the Welding Supervisor of any issues. Completes all assigned work promptly, ensuring adherence to production requirements and deadlines, work will be assigned based on operational needs, all tasks must be completed as directed. Ensures all conveyor belts are completed within the prescribed timeline. Reads and interprets blueprints and technical drawings to determine project requirements and specifications. Performs metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding methods on various materials, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications. Manufactures and assembles products, performing tasks including cutting, grinding and general preparation for welding. Rigs components for welding, ensuring proper alignment and support during the welding process. Conducts inspections of welds using calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality. Fabricates parts as required, applying basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Maintains a clean and organized workspace, always adhering to safety protocols. Maintains the welding bay and notifies the Welding Supervisor when supplies are required, including gas and other materials. Collaborates with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve welding processes.

Experience



High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift license is an asset. Minimum three (3) years of MIG and TIG welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment working with a variety of materials. Thorough knowledge of welding processes, materials, equipment, safety and quality standards. Self-starter, results-driven, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly and effectively. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication processes. Excellent attention to detail with a strong work ethic and commitment to produce high-quality work. Strong problem solving and time management skills to meet tight deadlines and production requirements.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
