Qualifications:
Three-year Diploma/Degree related to web development, social media, multimedia design, marketing, communications or related field
Minimum three years of recent, practical and extensive experience in social media marketing and website content management within a complex organization
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling online content and effectively communicate ideas to diverse audiences
Demonstrated experience creating and managing content for various social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, X)
Ability to analyze trends, and analytics, and provide recommendations for content creation to promote Canadore
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
In-person, on-campus position - must be able to reliably commute to North Bay, ON
Responsibilities:
Develop social media frameworks for web and social media sites including timelines, resources, testing, training, and metrics
Proactively update and maintain Canadore websites and online channels using content management systems
Stay informed of digital best practices, including social media, web, advertising, applications, and technologies to enhance competitive offerings
Develop and implement SEO strategies to increase organic search traffic
Maintain paid search campaigns to drive targeted traffic to the website. Optimize ad spend to maximize ROI and achieve marketing objectives
Develop and schedule highly creative content for the College's websites and various social media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and X
Communicate with social media followers, including responding to social media messages, inquiries, and comments promptly
Train content providers in writing for the web by developing, delivering and evaluating training programs and materials
Monitor website performance, generate reports to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and website performance, provide insights and recommendations
Support the development of monthly student e-blasts, newsletters, and updates
Oversee the social media calendar ensuring consistent content is posted daily on all channels and are of high quality that meets brand standards
Analyze content success and implement changes when needed to ensure content is evolving and elevating the Canadore brand as a leader in postsecondary education.
Work as a member of a team to coordinate and leverage all communication channels that use Canadore trademarks, in line with Communications Framework outcomes
