Short Description

We are seeking a talented, hard working Waterjet Operator to join our LRX Robotic Lighting division of Herc Rentals in Bowmanville, ON.

Responsibilities

• Operating/programming and performing preventative maintenance on CNC controlled water jet systems
• Performing part measurements/inspections to drawing specification
• Identifying material types and thicknesses as associated to Work Orders
• Operating Forklift and Over-head cranes to handle material safely
• Accurately record cut times, completed quantities & Scrap quantities daily
• Deburr parts to ensure safe handling
• Cleaning Waterjet and equipment as required
• Keep work area and material organized and clean

Skills

• Demonstrate basic math and communication skills
• Ability to use overhead cranes, basic hand tools- tape measure, calipers, micrometers, grinders etc.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specification
• Must be able to navigate Microsoft Windows
• Able to work overtime and/or weekends when required to complete necessary tasks
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Previous knowledge of running a CNC Waterjet is considered an Asset
