AECOM is seeking highly motivated

Water Resources EIT

to join our growing water resources team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). These positions will be instrumental in supporting high-quality water resources projects across the region. The successful candidate will have the education and background supporting an understanding of Water Resources Engineering. They will be familiar with runoff and flow calculations supporting the design of municipal drainage infrastructure and knowledgeable in hydraulic modelling. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. The successful candidate will be expected to support in the delivery of surface water related studies and infrastructure design to municipal clients.


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Assist in the development and application of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analyses related to floodplain management studies, site development, linear infrastructure, and a variety of water resource projects Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids Undertake water resources projects from inception to completion, with senior oversight. Be a part of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of project components. Prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Water Resources, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 2+years of relevant experience in water resources engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Strong technical background in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and water quality. Proficiency in water resources modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWorks, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:



Design and construction experience related to channels, stormwater, and/or erosion and slope stability projects. Experience including preparation of cost estimates and tender packages as well as contract administration. Experience with ArcGIS software and Civil 3D Software Experience with surface water / drainage conveyance infrastructure design in a Municipal environment Experience with civil engineering, hydrologic & hydraulic modelling Excellent written skills needed for technical reports and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle
