To augment our exciting and continued growth, we are looking for the next up and coming stars in the civil and water resources engineering field to contribute to bringing this value-based service to our clients. Our projects vary in size, type, scope and complexity from field inspection services on QVE assignments, contractor support, development studies, preliminary and detailed design for small, medium and large site plan and subdivision developments. GEI is seeking aspiring professionals who have a positive impact on GEI s land development infrastructure and water resources team and are interested in working collaboratively with a talented team of design, management, and technical leaders. This position will support GEI s land development engineering practice in our Markham, Ontario office, which provides services in a wide range of settings. Representative projects for the land development and civil site design for residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sites. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Experience with a variety of water resources projects within the land development industry
  • Develop and apply hydrological and hydraulic models
  • Perform hydrology assessments and associated reporting
  • Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering for water resources projects
  • Preparation of technical memos, reports, construction plans and specifications
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate Degree in Water Resources Engineering or directly related field from a recognized university
  • Water resources design and/or field experience
  • Experienced with standard analysis programs, AutoCAD, PCSWMM, Visual Otthymo, HECRAS, Microsoft office programs, and other associated programs is desired
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of motivation
  • Experience with writing technical reports
