Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of piping systems, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent teamwork, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water, sewage, and other fluids.
• Excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation.
• Align and secure pipes using appropriate materials and tools.
• Conduct inspections to ensure proper installation and adherence to regulations.
• Collaborate with other construction team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Troubleshoot issues with existing piping systems and perform necessary repairs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a pipelayer or in a similar construction role is preferred.
• Must have previous experience with municipal water and sewer construction.
• Knowledge of pipe materials, installation techniques, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Heavy equipment operation experience strong asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.35-$35.00 per hour

Additional pay:

• Overtime pay

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Okanagan, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
