Our Warranty Administrator prepares, records, and submits warranty claims to the factory and/or distributor and reconciles them accordingly.   • Process warranty claims/work orders in Lightspeed system on a timely basis
  • Open cases and process all warranty paperwork to obtain approval for repairs
  • Verify criteria required by factory or distributor
  • Reconcile all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule
  • Post credits on computer
  • Resubmit all rejected claims promptly or receive authorization to write them off
  • Follow up on warranty cases / payment of outstanding [unpaid, returned] warranty claims
  • Track warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed of
  • Return all warranty requested parts, arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor or to be scrapped
  • File and maintain all service records as required by the warrantor
  • Keep informed of all factory recalls and bulletins
  • Assist with service warranty claims as needed
  • Assist with Service Center coverage and telephone duties as needed
  • Assist with any clerical/administrative needs as directed by management
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • An enthusiast of and passionate about the Powersports industry
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training in the field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Well organized, possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Hard working, self-motivated and have excellent time management skills
  • Committed to customers, anticipates customer needs
  • Bilingual English and French (oral and written) an asset
