Job Description

Position: Warehouse/Quality Inspector
Location: Ottawa West
Salary: $22.55 per hour + 4% vacation pay
Shifts: Day shift 4 days on 4 days off, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Job Type: Initial 6-month contract likely to extend or convert to permanent

Requirements:

- High school diploma
- Previous warehouse experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
- Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and Word
- Clean criminal record
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts
- Ability to provide proof of double vaccination - mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

25% of the day:

- Train and sign off on all current Internal quality control inspection processes
- Inspect incoming parts using current documents
- Generate Exception Reports following the CAPA process for non-conforming material
- Work from Alert Lists and priority lists to ensure material is processed in a timely manner
- Investigate component returns from Assembly - CIRFs
- Support the inspection of new material, including all the new product artwork proof by the project management group
- Support Component Engineering with specific assignments, as required
- Ensure all IQC laboratory equipment is maintained and operational
- Work with Calibration department to ensure that schedules are respected
- Support the implementation of 5s (Quality Organization tools), Lean initiatives and projects
- Participate in documentation review and the DCP process

75% of the day:

- Perform warehouse work involving getting boxes from skids, moving skids around with a hand pump cart, and lifting boxes and pulling parts from boxes, the boxes weight 10-15 pounds
