TimberTown Building Centre Ltd. is currently seeking a Lumber and Building Supply Warehouse / Yard Associate.

Forklift and Material Handling experience is essential.

40hr work week with Sunday and a weekday off. No Sundays, nights or Stat holidays required. Two weeks vacation, increasing to three weeks in year three. Job Responsibilities:

The Warehouse/Yard Associate is responsible for assisting all customers in the yard/warehouse with their needs while maintaining a safe, clean and organized environment. The candidate must be a team player and be able to quickly adapt & work effectively in a high paced retail work environment.

Duties:

Provide customers with assistance loading their lumber and building material purchases, safely and efficiently Pick and check orders for accuracy Shipping and receiving duties as required including off-loading trucks, cullinglumber, cleaning, organizing & maintaining a safe work environment for employees and customers

Qualifications:

Forklift and building material supply experience is essential

Customer service oriented Ability to work year-round, outside in all conditions Maintain a safe work environment Able to perform physical work with medium and heavy lifting up to 80lbs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently or with a team Driven with the ability to take initiative Able to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays (We are closed Sundays and Statutory Holidays)
Successful candidates will be

experienced with lumber and building

supplies. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with employees, management, suppliers, and customers.
Solid work references required (from last 2 employers) - mandatory

Priority considerations will be given to applicants currently working in the retail lumber & building supply industry.
