Project Details:
Based at our project in Northern B.C., this will be a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation opportunity.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager Supply Chain - Warehouse & Logisticsis the
Warehouse Technicians
are responsible for the day-to-day work execution of warehouse tasks supporting the Mine site and materials that are required in support of project execution. This position will also be responsible for all expediting and Logistics management of materials once shipped and enroute.
Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Technician role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing work safely and follow all safety procedures.
Execution of daily material handling tasks such as picking, issuing, receiving, and shipping of materials in accordance with Warehouse Care, Custody, & Control Standard.
Safe operation of material handling equipment in support of shipping, receiving, issuing, and put-away activities associated with warehouse activities such as forklift, telehandler, front end loader and flat deck truck.
Execution of regular cycle counting activities.
Housekeeping activities to maintain a safe work environment within the warehouse and outside yard.
Safe operation of basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand tools (ie drills, power washers, painters, disc grinders etc...)
Snow clearing in Winter Months
Complete housekeeping tasks to ensure compliance to housekeeping standard and practices.
daily coordination of logistics of all material required and that is enroute to site. This includes daily interaction and coordination with Transportation providers, Nisku Warehouse, Procurement team.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Minimum 1+ years working in a warehouse environment, preferable in mining industry.
High School Diploma
Knowledge of standard warehouse processes and procedures associated to picking, issuing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and put-away activities.
Knowledge of processes and procedures associated to inventory cycle counting and audit procedures.
Knowledge of safe operating procedures of material handling equipment, hand tools & powered hand tools.
Knowledge of ERP systems for effective management of warehouse activities.
Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
Strong comprehension and ability to read and understand information provided on waybills, packing slips and purchase orders
Must adhere to all legislated Health & Safety regulations and established company policies.
Must follow all company Policies and Procedures.
Operate all equipment safely and in accordance with safe operating parameters established by equipment manufacturer
Be punctual and have reliable attendance.
Previous experience operating equipment such as as forklift, telehandler, front end loader and flat deck truck in warehouse and warehouse yard environments.
Class 5 Drivers Licence
Ability to lift and physically handle material up to 50lbs.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable and able to commit to a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation
Positive attitude and enjoys being a proactive member of a high performing team
Preference will be given to those who reside in Northern BC and encourage candidates identifying as indigenous decent to apply

If this position involves frequent air travel to and from the work site. Applicants must meet all legislated requirements for air travel to work at the remote site camp. You will be required to work both dayshift and nightshift as part of the rotational schedule 21 days on site, 21 days off site. For this safety sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo substance and pre-employment testing.
What we offer:
Competitive annual salary ranging between $95,000 - $110,000 based on experience and qualifications. The wage ranges are comprised of the hourly wage plus applicable premiums and calculated on an average number of rotations worked per year.
