YMCA BC is looking for an experienced capital campaign fundraiser to join our team.


Reporting to the Director, Comprehensive Campaign, the Manager, Capital Campaign, Foundry Northern BC, will be part of a multi-faceted YMCA BC (YBC) comprehensive campaign which will include upcoming Foundry capital projects in Fort St. John (FSJ), Quesnel, and Prince George. This role is responsible for raising capital donor dollars to support the development of Foundry Fort St. John and providing support for YBC's regional Foundry fundraising efforts in Prince George and Quesnel as necessary.

Passionate about the YBC mission and committed to inclusive philanthropy, the successful candidate will lead the Foundry FSJ capital campaign operation plan to attract and grow relationships with donors that result in major, transformative gifts, and multi-year commitments for a new comprehensive fundraising campaign.


The Capital Campaign Manager will implement and manage all aspects of a planned FSJ Capital Campaign through Q3 2027, including all solicitation phases of the campaign, event planning, cultivation, and campaign publications/communications. The Campaign Manager is responsible for campaign strategy, managing prospect lists, developing and executing solicitation strategies, preparing grant applications, donor interface, and coordinating volunteers for this campaign.

Work with Director, Comprehensive Campaign and SVP Fund Development to finalize and operationalize YBC Foundry capital campaign strategy and plans Work closely with local Foundry Community Development and Project Leads to deliver a cohesive approach to Foundry capital campaign, service delivery, and community engagement amongst stakeholders within the region Organize and facilitate in-person & hybrid cabinet committee meetings including compiling notes/action items and preparing pre-meeting packages. Attend asks with Cabinet volunteers, prepare donor strategy briefing and debriefing documents and follow-up with proposals and agreements. Represent YBC's Foundry program at community, corporate, and/or Foundry Central meetings and events to discuss capital fundraising needs, and raise awareness and visibility of the initiative through presentations, the development of communication materials, etc. Develop and maintain strong relationships with core philanthropic partners and funders Identify prospects on the individual, corporation, and foundation levels and participate in YMCA BC prospect clearance process Provide assistance with grants and other donor proposals and monitor grants process in partnership with other staff of the YMCA BC Foundry program Contribute to campaign communications, acknowledgments, follow-up letters, and newsletters Maintain and update campaign prospect lists and related materials Prepare regular campaign reports to share with staff and volunteer leadership working with Manager Fund Development Systems Ensure pledges are documented and donor recognition is properly recorded and actioned through working with Manager, Fund Development Systems and Manager, Donor Relations Work with Manager, Donor Relations to thank, steward, and recognize donors in a timely fashion accordance with the overall Donor Relations plan. Oversee the collection and maintenance of donor records for various fundraising campaigns Promote the fundraising program's ability to achieve its goals by enhancing internal staff collaboration; creates processes and procedures to ensure efficient workflow, effective use of resources, and accountability to donors.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, project management, communications, or marketing--preferably in a nonprofit or capital campaign setting. Experience with corporate sponsorships, grants, and working with leadership volunteers or boards is a plus.

Fundraising & Development Skills:

Proven success in donor cultivation, solicitation, grant writing, and event coordination. Familiarity with fund development databases or CRM systems is preferred.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication; able to engage a wide range of stakeholders with diplomacy and confidence while maintaining strong donor relationships.

Organizational & Project Management:

Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.

Additional Requirements:

Creative problem-solver, motivated, and detail-oriented. Must have a valid driver's license and be available for occasional evening meetings or regional travel.

Demonstrated familiarity

Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
