As our Warehouse Technician you will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support by coordinating incoming and outgoing freight as well as inventory management. Some of the expectations of this role include:
- Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments for local, national, and international client requirements;
- Verifying all appropriate shipping and receiving documents are included with both incoming and outgoing shipments;
- Completing, processing, and filing shipping and receiving documentation such as manifests, cargo control documents, purchase orders etc.;
- Responding to customer requests and assisting in resolving customer concerns;
- Inspecting warehouse equipment (i.e. forklifts, ladders, batteries, etc.) prior to use and in accordance with HSEQ policies and procedures; and
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness in accordance with HSEQ policies and procedures.
The successful candidate must be a professional, highly motivated, self-starter with a keen attention to detail and the ability to safely execute work on-time, every time. They will bring with them strong communication and customer service skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively with team members, as well as independently, to deliver high quality service and support to our customers. Given the dynamic nature of our business, they will need to be flexible to address changing situations and priorities. Knowledge of flooring inventory management, computerized warehousing systems and the transport industry would be an asset.
A candidate with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehousing or distribution experience is preferred, however work experience demonstrating the noted skills will be considered.
