Our Asset Integrity Management Team is now looking for a Lifting Equipment Inspection & Warehouse Technician for our office located in St. John\'s, NL.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the efficient daily operations of a fast-paced warehouse through the management of all required equipment and materials.
  • Ensuring that Lifting Equipment is fit for purpose and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, and Company/Client specific procedures.
  • Responsible for the organization, storage, maintenance, tracking, logistics, and customer billing of all equipment - including company vehicles and inspection equipment.
  • Track and schedule the maintenance and calibration of sensitive non-destructive testing equipment.
  • Responsible for the ordering, logistics, receiving of all shop consumables - including PPE, shop supplies, and materials covered under dangerous goods requirements.
  • Logistics for mobilization of equipment offshore
  • Manage shipping and receiving, including logistics for mobilization of equipment to onshore and offshore site-based locations.
  • Coordinating vehicle and building maintenance through established vendors.
  • Management of the fleet vehicles, ensuring required documentation is on file prior to assignment of vehicle.
  • Implement inspection and certification programs for lifting equipment, both offshore and onshore.
  • Report and document the results of inspections and ensure that all findings are reported and addressed.
  • Ensure that assigned assets are fit for purpose and that activities related to inspection management of these assets are conducted in a safe and effective manner
  • Conduct documentation review of lifting equipment test certificates prior to use
  • Update lifting equipment database as required
  • Comply with all client and regulatory codes, standards, and procedures in the execution of work
  • Adopting standard safe work practices and procedures in accordance with HSSE policies and industry standards.
We think you should have:
  • 2 - 5 years\' experience within an industrial warehouse/shop setting with responsibility for equipment management, maintenance, and logistics.
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience in inspection, testing, and re-certification of lifting equipment
  • Training and/or certification in Lifting Gear and Crane Inspections (Evita, Sleipner, CraneTech, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Access and experience with other database management systems (SAP, Oracle, Etc.)
  • Shipping of Dangerous Goods and Forklift Operator Certification
  • Ability to successfully complete mandatory safety training, drug and alcohol screening, medical, and meet all qualifications required for work and travel offshore, or to onshore site locations.
  • Familiarity with NDT inspection techniques is considered an asset.
