Job Description

Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. The Production & Warehouse Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of daily manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics operations. This role involves carrying out and coordinating production activities, maintaining warehouse organization, performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, and supporting logistics execution.

Duties



Production

Performs the duties associated with production and manufacturing of SIPCO products.

Sets-up and operates a variety of machines, tools and equipment in accordance with established procedures.

Completes appropriate documentation and ERP transactions for all production and related activities.

Performs clean-up procedures and quality checks as required.

Ensures production deadlines are consistently met within the established timeframes while upholding high-quality standards.

Analyzes and optimizes production workflows to eliminate bottlenecks, minimize waste, and improve operational efficiency.

Adapts swiftly to changing production requirements and demands.

Implements lean manufacturing principles and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.

Operational Efficiency

Continuously assesses and optimizes operational processes to maximize productivity;

Contributes innovative ideas for process improvements and cost-reduction strategies.

Shipping and Receiving

Responsible for the timely, accurate and safe picking & wrapping of finished goods to fulfil customer orders.

Executes the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.

Data Logging and Reporting

Demonstrates proficiency in SAP to execute batch ticket openings and closures and handle inventory transactions effectively.

Assist the Operations Manager with analyzes data to identify trends, operational inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

Maintenance and Trouble Shooting

Conducts regular maintenance to prevent equipment malfunctions and reduce downtime.

Ensures the proper operation of all machinery, systems, and equipment.

Monitors system alarms and promptly addresses any operational failures.

Performs safety checks and maintenance on all production equipment as required.

Coordinates with maintenance team or external specialists when necessary to resolve issues promptly.

Inventory Control

Organizes and executes the physical and digital transfer of items between warehouses as required.

Picks and puts away all materials and finished goods.

Conducts regular inventory counts as required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:



High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Post-secondary degree in manufacturing, electrical, or mechanical engineering is as asset.

2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Ability to lift up to 25 kg (~55 lbs).

Forklift and Pallet Jack experience (Class 1 and Class 3) is required.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience in the consumer packaging goods industry is advantageous.

Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Excel is a plus.

WHMIS certification is an asset.

Safety certifications, including First Aid, are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
