The Supervisor - Warehouse is responsible to manage warehousing, material handling, Shipping and Receiving and inventory. Relationships



Reports to: Assistant Production Manager

Supervises: Materials Lead, Forklift Lead and Receiver Lead

Internal Contacts: Scheduling, Production, QA, Purchasing

External Contacts: Vendors, Transport

Key Responsibility Areas



Leadership

Responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and SOPs, ensuring they are followed by the warehouse team Oversee the training, performance and coaching of Warehouse employees Provide leadership to improve cross-functional coordination among all areas of the Supply Chain department and with other Tornado departments Resolve flow-of-material issues with representatives from departments throughout company Lead by example, supporting their team as necessary and assisting team members as required Ensure the department is operated in accordance with all safety policies and procedures
Warehousing

Under leadership of the production manager and assistant production manager, the warehouse supervisor holds overall responsibility for all warehousing functions Oversee the Sr. Lead and Leads assigned to supervise warehousing functions Perform administrative functions as required, including bin and warehouse locations, labelling, signage, and reporting Oversee all warehouse operations including scheduling maintenance, improvement of facilities and equipment as required and changes to storage Maintain adequate storage for material in/outs Perform walk-arounds of receiving, storage, warehouse, and yard areas, and delegate solutions to issues that arise
Inventory

Lead inventory control processes including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, integration of new or custom parts Monitor inventory levels, and ensure optimal stock levels by applying lean principles to prevent overstocking Monitor slow-moving stock and explore strategies for reduction Responsible for administering and updating training procedures for inventory process
Other Duties

Perform other tasks as directed Implement and maintains cost-control procedures Coordinate material flow with the Purchasing department Work with purchasers, vendors, and QA, regarding NCR materials and follows up with RMA's

Qualifications



Education

Post Secondary diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred Minimum High School Diploma is required
Experience

Minimum five years' experience in a Warehouse or Materials leadership role Excellent Inventory control skills and knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices Demonstrated compliance with safety requirements

Competencies (skills, abilities, knowledge)



Strong professional written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization Competency with the MS business suite including Teams and Outlook Proficiency with ERP systems, especially Epicor is an asset Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members leading to greater levels of engagement and productivity Commitment to excellence and high standards Versatile and flexible; able adjust to changing priorities Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, ensuring goals are met within established deadlines Strong problem solving and trouble shooting ability Adopts work practices that support fairness, diversity, and inclusivity at all levels within the organization

Working Conditions



Frequently working in office, the Supervisor will be attentive to good ergonomic procedures and receive assistance as required Support will also be required in shipping/receiving, storage and warehousing facilities, which may be noisy and dusty. The Supervisor will work in hot and cold conditions indoors and outdoors as required Correct use of PPE is a requirement of this position. CSA-approved safety footwear is required, and all other PPE will be provided

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
