About the Warehouse Supervisor opportunity:
Our client is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to manage their team of 5-10 warehouse associates, during the night-shift (Sunday to Thursday, 6pm - 2:30am), at their dynamic and diverse 24/7 facility in Mississauga (near Pearson International Airport).

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will continually motivate and challenge staff members. You will develop staff through training to ensure personnel are providing the best of their capabilities and are at all times delivering on expectations.

In addition, you will safeguard the warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor:

• Manage warehouse in compliance with company\xe2\x80\x99s policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
• Lead implementation of the new procedures, policies and technology in the warehouse
• Ensure that all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded in the warehouse
• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and requirements in the warehouse
• Contribute to a safe working environment; adhering to and promoting good housekeeping standards, keeping the place \xe2\x80\x9cclean and tidy\xe2\x80\x9d
• Create and maintain a good working relationship with the internal customers, local customer contacts, vendors and transport companies

Key Qualifications of the Warehouse Supervisor:

• Post-secondary education, degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field
• 3-5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 of work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Experience working with Tier 1 customers is an asset
• Proven success in prevention, training, and incident management
• Leadership skills and ability manage staff
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days, if required
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite product
