Job Summary

We are a flooring and building supply warehouse and wholesaler. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient warehouse processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of warehouse management systems.

In this role, you will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and be responsible for the daily supervision of the warehouse floor.

You must be very competent in driving a forklift, as you will need to be able to load and unload trailers.

Duties

:

Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Manage and train warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Oversee inventory management, including order picking, packaging, and shipping processes. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and ensure accurate data entry in SAP and other software tools. Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize logistics and distribution strategies. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Perform heavy lifting as necessary and ensure the team adheres to ergonomic practices. Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery

Experience

Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Strong computer skills with the ability to analyze data effectively for process improvement initiatives. Bilingual candidates are preferred to enhance communication with diverse teams. Knowledge of 3PL operations, e-commerce logistics, purchasing processes, and packaging standards is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience Completion of 4-Step Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training Strong attention to detail with inventory management Proficiency with warehouse management software and inventory systems Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar management position is preferred. Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience operating industrial forklift equipment
