Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for:

\xc2\xb7 Supervision and Motivation: Effectively supervise and motivate a team of approximately 30+ warehouse members.

\xc2\xb7 Cost and Productivity Efficiency: Ensure cost/productivity of the warehouse operation by overseeing day-to-day activities, including but not limited to hiring, coaching, training, development, and performance plans and reviews.

\xc2\xb7 Safety and Inclusivity: Lead a safe work environment for all employees, promoting safety awareness and behaviors, and inclusive of diversity, free of discrimination and conflict.

\xc2\xb7 Quality and Compliance: Ensure effective and accurate compliance with Quality (ISO), Health and Safety standards and legislation, as well as participating in Health and Safety meetings. Report any accidents/injuries.

\xc2\xb7 Business, Culture, and Performance Issues: Appropriately deal with business, culture, and performance issues with team members, partnering with HR and Logistics leadership team for complex issues.

\xc2\xb7 Time and Attendance: Maintain the time and attendance system while collaborating with the Head of Logistics about appropriate headcount to manage daily norms and tackle unexpected challenges.

\xc2\xb7 Departmental Integrity: Ensure the integrity of the Pick, Pack, Ship, Replenishment, Returns, and Assortments departments and the related work processes.

\xc2\xb7 Order Fill Rate: Work to achieve a 100% fill rate for all orders printed that day.

\xc2\xb7 Equipment Maintenance: Working with the Building and Facility Maintenance Coordinator ensure the effective and safe use of warehouse equipment (computer systems, RF guns, reach trucks, pallet jacks, forklift, etc.). Oversee regular maintenance and repair work schedules, and general housekeeping.

\xc2\xb7 Team Coverage: Support coverage for team members on occasion based on warehouse needs.

What YOU will bring to this role:

\xc2\xb7 Post Secondary education and/or combination of relevant experience and education

\xc2\xb7 minimum of 3-5 years in a similar logistics/warehouse capacity; hiring, coaching, training, developing, as well as strong overall people leadership skills.

\xc2\xb7 Self-starter who can perform in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while inspiring others to high performance.

\xc2\xb7 Adept and interested in understanding business needs to ensure effective management of priorities and working time.

\xc2\xb7 Strong cross-functional collaborator who can create authentic relationships with colleagues.

\xc2\xb7 Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally while coaching and growing a team.

\xc2\xb7 Keen self-awareness and alignment with a workplace culture that is built on humanistic values and continuous improvement.

\xc2\xb7 Experience and knowledge of all applicable health and safety process and practices, including safety committee experience

\xc2\xb7 Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications, in addition to experience using CRM systems (Microsoft dynamic AX and/or SAP)

\xc2\xb7 Certification in the following would be an asset (TDG, WHMIS, Lift truck safety, or First Aid)

\xc2\xb7 Ability to supervise work shifts/overtime at month end, and occasional weekends during peak seasonals.
