:
  • Supervise the daily activities of receiving and loading of all inbound and outbound products. Coaches and trains employees on care and preservation of items stored, how they\xe2\x80\x99re shipped and how to safely operate all warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure all customer orders are loaded properly and all accompanying paperwork is complete and accurate. Verify proper rotation of product based on code dating, monitor product segregation and slotting of warehoused products including allergen controls.
  • Lead inventory counts and investigate variances.
  • Manage cross border and overseas shipments including customs documentation.
  • Maintain records and documentation necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
  • Maintain records of equipment, materials and products.
  • Identify areas for improvement and establish new processes or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Train employees on care and preservation of items stored, how they are shipped and how to safely operate all warehouse equipment. Utilize progressive coaching and counseling concepts according to established policies and procedures to provide continuous feedback on performance, increase employee retention and improve employee relations.
  • Reviews records to help ensure accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures is complete. Creates work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow when appropriate. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of work output.
  • Ensure products are handled properly to minimize damage and preserve quality. Ensure all Warehouse equipment is operational & that sufficient equipment is on hand to handle daily work load.
  • Responsible for promoting a Health and safety culture by taking proactive actions and eliminating safety risks.
  • Support in ensuring food safety standards and compliance with HACCP is maintained.
  • Ensures compliance with company and regulatory policies, standards and regulations.
  • Train to provide vacation support for other team members.


Education and Experience:
  • Degree or Diploma in Business or Logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Knowledge of QAD and SAP systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of BPCS an asset
  • Knowledge of loading and offloading processes
  • Knowledge of WMS Systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control management
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations including but not limited to: OHSA, CFIA, EAS
  • Certification in Food Safety, Forklift Operations, HACCP
  • 5 years of practical experience in logistics and warehouse supervisory position, preferred, food or beverage environments.
  • Experience in managing in a unionized environment preferred.
