Position Summary: Operational Leadership in a Fast-Moving, Impact-Driven Environment
We are looking for a
Warehouse Supervisor
who combines operational excellence with hands-on leadership to oversee our warehouse operations supporting solar and battery storage projects. This is a pivotal role that goes beyond logistics, it's about building smart, scalable systems that ensure efficient inventory flow, accurate order fulfillment, and seamless project support.
You'll be responsible for the full scope of warehouse activities, from receiving and storing goods to picking, packing, and shipping, all while leading and mentoring warehouse staff to uphold productivity, safety, and quality standards. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality, sustainable energy solutions on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Strategy:
Lead, train, and supervise warehouse associates to meet productivity and accuracy goals.
Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching or corrective action as needed.
Foster a positive and safe work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
Operations Management:
Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, order fulfillment, inventory control, and shipping.
Ensure all products are handled, labeled, and stored properly in accordance with company standards.
Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to meet delivery deadlines.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all shipping and receiving paperwork is completed.
Inventory Control:
Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
Support implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) and process improvements.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce health and safety procedures in compliance with local and federal regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and report hazards or equipment malfunctions.
Ensure compliance with TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods), WHMIS, and other applicable regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in staff training programs and performance evaluations.
Support company initiatives such as sustainability, quality control, and operational excellence.
Shipping Quotes & Coordination:
Request and compare shipping quotes for domestic and international shipments (inbound and outbound).
Work closely with sales to provide accurate freight quotes for customer orders and proposals.
Support purchasing by obtaining freight costs for supplier shipments and imports.
Negotiate rates and terms with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure best pricing and service.
Maintain a database of approved carriers and preferred shipping methods.
Shipment Management
Coordinate shipping arrangements with suppliers, customers, and warehouse staff.
Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and TDG documents.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery; proactively communicate delays or issues.
Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and handling requirements are met (especially for hazardous or Class 9 goods).
Quali?cations and Skills:
Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of TDG, WHMIS, and general warehouse safety practices.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification an asset).
High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain preferred).
