Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, forklift operation, and shipping & receiving processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting manufacturing and distribution activities.

Responsibilities



Receive and unload deliveries of raw materials, supplies, and other goods. Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or other documents; record shortages and reject damaged goods. Prepare outgoing shipments, including accurate labeling, packing, and completion of shipping documentation. Record detailed shipping and receiving documentation for traceability. Rotate stock and conduct inventory cycle counts as required. Maintain internal, manual, and computerized record-keeping systems (e.g., BV/Sage, Inventory Control System). Coordinate with the production manager and purchasing team regarding raw material requirements, delivery schedules, and transportation. Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Follow all company procedures, safety standards, and food safety requirements. Ensure the shipping/receiving area is clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety regulations. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in a refrigerated warehouse setting (e.g., cold storage for produce) Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize distribution workflows

Food Safety & Quality Responsibility



Follow and uphold Food Safety and Quality responsibilities as outlined in SOPs and training materials. Accurately complete and maintain required records to support compliance with FSSC 22000 and other food safety programs.

Qualifications



High School Diploma or equivalent required; a certificate in Logistics, Warehousing, or a related field is an asset. Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles preferred Ability to operate forklifts and reach trucks safely (certification is a plus) Familiarity with warehouse management systems Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and shipment processing Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures

Working Hours



Hours of operations are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm Ability to work any other scheduled shifts as required including weekends

Eligibility:



Must have Permanent Resident (PR) or Canadian Citizen status, in line with company hiring policies.

Working Environment:



Regular exposure to noise, cold temperatures, humidity, and dry conditions. Continuous exposure to production equipment, moving objects (forklifts) and frequent interruptions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
