Job Title: Shipper, Receiver, Relief Local Delivery Driver

Position Summary:

The shipper/receiver/relief truck driver plays a key role in supporting daily operations of the warehouse and maintaining strong relationships with customers. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and supports operations by ensuring efficient flow of goods in and out of the facility. This role is responsible for shipping, receiving, and delivery activities with accuracy by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining precise inventory control. The shipper/receiver/relief truck driver assists with goods processing and ensuring timely shipments and deliveries for local and out of town customers. The ideal candidate will contribute to achieving operational goals and objectives while maintaining a safe and organized work environment and upholding high standards of customer service. This position involves assisting customers with pickups and deliveries while ensuring a positive and professional experience. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to inventory accuracy are essential in this role.

Responsibilities

o Shipping and receiving of goods for timely order processing

o Accurate order fulfillment for local and out of town customers

o In warehouse shipping and receiving activities when required

o Delivery of goods to local stores and jobsites when required

o Loading of product onto vehicles and unloading at delivery site

o Practicing safe transport methods while travelling to and from destinations

o Keeping company vehicles clean

o Complete safety and maintenance checks on vehicles before beginning a trip

o Ensure compliance with work safe regulations and adhere to strict safety standards (WHIMS & TDG).

o Monitor stock levels in warehouse and restock as needed

o Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures

o Receive and sorting of goods, assist with branch transfers when required

o Preparing and organizing warehouse inventory for physical counts and processing

o Provide exceptional service to customers

o Support manager to complete miscellaneous tasks depending on business needs

o Ensure warehouse and shipping areas are organized and clean

Qualifications and Requirements:

o Class 5 drivers license with clean drivers abstract

o 2 years' experience working in a warehouse setting and operating 3 and 5 ton vehicles

o Ability to lift and move 60lbs regularly and unassisted.

o Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision.

o Ability to problem solve effectively.

o Forklift operator experience and dangerous goods knowledge are considered assets in this role

o Experience and knowledge of the pool and spa industry is a plus

o High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
