Job Description
Westrans is looking for a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to join our team. To succeed in this role, you should have strong attention to detail when inspecting deliveries and be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items. Ultimately, a top-performing Warehouse Shipper/Receiver will help ensure efficient shipping/receiving processes and quickly resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate incoming deliveries to confirm accuracy of the orders
Verify incoming goods against Bill of ladings, and report discrepancies
Receive and sign for deliveries in a timely manner
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
Match purchase orders with invoices and packing slips to ensure accuracy
Assemble and palletize shipments for interbranch transfers
Support general warehouse operations when needed, including receiving and parts picking
Requirements:
Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
High attention to detail with accurate data entry
Able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking and lifting to 50 lbs as needed
Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work collaboratively and adapt by cross training
Comfortable using computers, with experience in data entry and inventory management software
Safety-conscious and willing to participate in company training programs
Understanding of safe storage and handling procedures
