Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking products for our manufacturing team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and cleanliness in all warehouse operations. Safety, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting are essential qualities for success in this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:



Pick orders by the correct product type/item, labelling, quantity and condition. Perform quality verifications as per the requirements of the work order. Communicate any deficiencies and non-conformances promptly. Put away stock in the warehouse correctly, properly bin located, labelled and in its assigned correct location. Handle all manufacturing orders promptly, making sure they are picked accurately and on time or earlier. Respond on a priority basis to any rush/urgent orders. Interact with customers, sales reps, customer service people, and manufacturing staff professionally and helpfully. Perform stock inventory cycle counts or periodic counts as requested. Monitor warehouse shelves/racks/bins for tidiness and proper placement. Ensure products are properly labelled when boxes are opened and that the product is adequately protected while in storage. Keep the workplace clean and neat; sweep and dispose of garbage daily and dispose of unneeded used packaging materials (skids/boxes) weekly. Assist in truck loading and unloading when required. Obtain and maintain forklift certification and effectively use material-handling equipment as prescribed. Assist with other tasks as needed, which can include looking for missing or lost stock or helping with shipping/receiving. Ensure precautions are taken to ensure inventory security to prevent loss. Follow all operating processes and use all relevant safety practices and equipment. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for new initiatives on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications & Requirements:



- High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Well-developed planning and problem-solving skills

- Detail-oriented, flexible, and highly motivated with a strong work ethic

- Strong strategic, continuous improvement mindset

- Effective time-management skills

- Fluent in English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
