As a Warehouse Operations Supervisor I at Reliable Logistics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of our Fulfillment Warehouse.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise, delegate, plan, and directly participate in all day-to-day operations of the warehouse operations including but not limited to picking, packing, receiving, shipping, quality assurance, and inventory control.
Evaluate and control department Key Performance Indicators.
Proactively manage, schedule, train, coach, and motivate Warehouse Associates and Warehouse Operations Coordinators.
Maintain and oversee overall warehouse cleanliness and organization.
Proactively enforce Company's procedures and policies to achieve operational excellence.
Manages staff performance by communicating clear expectations, conducting performance reviews, and daily pre-shift meetings.
Participate in Health & Safety initiatives and ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Communicate and respond to Customers' inquiries by internally communicating with Customer Service Representatives and/or responding to Customers' inquiries directly.
Collaborate on Continuous Improvement initiatives, suggest cost reduction opportunities, and infrastructure development initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
Mental and visual concentration during work requires focusing during shift.
Ability to perform multiple, repetitive tasks with sustained hand-eye movements during shift.
Primarily Office floor environment with some exposure to Warehouse floor environment to noise and dust.
May require working on weekends or extended hours during peak times.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of experience supervisory level experience, preferably in a 3PL environment.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with a Warehouse Management System in Operations Coordinator, Lead, or Supervisor role capacity (preferably HighJump).
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team of Warehouse Associates (5-12 temporary and full-time employees).
Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified forklift operator, with hands-on experience operating Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Order Picker, and Walkie Rider forklifts.
Strong knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, and inventory control.
In-depth knowledge of Provincial and Federal Health & Safety regulations and best practices in warehousing and/or distribution environments.
Familiarity with Lean and 5S principles and methodologies.
Valid forklift certification required.
