We're looking to enhance our team by welcoming a new

Warehouse Lead

to the Warehouse Team. The Warehouse Lead's key responsibilities are to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of inventory data across systems and physical locations, to lead and manage all cycle count and inventory reconciliation processes, and to proactively identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient inventory control operations by training staff, implementing standardized procedures, and ensuring timely and accurate inventory tracking and reporting. The Warehouse Lead collaborates closely with warehouse and production teams, supports planning and forecasting efforts, and leads the annual physical inventory count. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in inventory management practices.

The role:



Conduct all cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy in same and identify all operational problems in inventory. Ensure the integrity of inventory data in the inventory management system. Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and ensure the accuracy of all product transfers from one facility to another. Ensure accuracy in all inventories and resolve any issues in same. Monitor work of all inventory control personnel and ensure achievement of all objectives and provide improvements to same if required. Monitor and ensure the accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all bin locations. Train employees and staff in all inventory control processes and cycle counting according to manual and update processes if required. Manage all communication with the production and warehouse managers and make recommendations to same if required. Monitor all inventory control processes and document all procedures to maintain all equipment and tools. Manage all inventory discrepancies and provide the required feedback to the management. Follow standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Assist with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Reconcile inventory differences between physical stock and ERP system. Ensure that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner. Audit the facility's entire inventory on a regular basis and provide reports to management. Owns the accuracy of tracking finished goods and materials in system in a timely manner through the trackers. Leading and organizing in partnership with the warehouse manager the annual physical inventory count effort. Oversee and support shipping and receiving operations, ensuring inbound and outbound deliveries are accurately documented, labeled, and handled. Coordinate and supervise picking and packing activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with customer and production requirements. Ensure timely and accurate issuance of picks to production based on schedules, ensuring proper material flow and staging Collaborate with production, supply chain, and quality teams to resolve material availability or shipment issues Other duties as required.

You offer:



3-5 years of inventory control experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is an asset. Strong knowledge of food manufacturing inventory processes including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods tracking. Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, CFIA regulations, and other food safety/quality compliance requirements. Experience with ERP systems used in food manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Syspro, JustFood, Aptean). Proven ability to reconcile physical inventory with ERP/system data accurately. Strong attention to detail with knowledge of lot control, expiry date management, and traceability. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, inventory reports). Ability to implement and follow standardized procedures to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste. Experience coordinating and executing cycle counts and annual physical inventories. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.
