Warehouse Coordinator

Kamloops, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

Interior Plumbing & Heating Ltd. (IPH) is a proud, community-driven mechanical contractor with 76 years of experience building projects across Western Canada--from Vancouver Island to Calgary, Alberta, and beyond. We're building strong teams in the communities where we work and focusing on delivering repeat projects in these areas to support our crews and clients across Western Canada.

We're a unique mechanical contractor, performing plumbing, sheet metal, refrigeration, pipefitting, and fire protection--all in-house. Along with our in-house prefabrication and design capabilities, this allows us to deliver efficient, high-quality projects while giving our team exposure to the full construction process--from concept to installation.

Our work spans the commercial, multi-family, healthcare, and industrial sectors, offering a diverse range of experience and a fast track for anyone looking to build a strong, well-rounded professional career.

The Opportunity

IPH is seeking a reliable and highly organized

Warehouse Coordinator

to oversee operations across our main warehouse and storage yards in Kamloops. This role is central to managing all stored equipment and materials--both job-specific and general inventory--and ensuring accurate tracking, staging, and distribution to job sites using Kojo. Kojo is our procurement and warehouse-integrated management software, used to track material orders, inventory, and workflow between the warehouse and our project teams.

The position includes responsibility for receiving all incoming deliveries, operating forklifts to unload and organize materials, and shipping materials out to construction sites. You will work closely with our Procurement Manager to schedule, coordinate, and document all deliveries, ensuring materials are received accurately and dispatched to the right locations at the right time.

You'll support both our Construction and Service Departments, maintaining smooth material flow between the warehouse, satellite yards, and multiple active projects. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, solid organization, and the ability to stay on top of a fast-paced workload without dropping details.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, unload, and inspect deliveries, ensuring materials match packing slips and purchase orders. Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Stage, organize, and prepare materials for shipment to construction sites. Coordinate delivery scheduling with the Procurement Manager to ensure accurate and timely receiving and shipping. Maintain organized inventory of materials across the main warehouse and satellite yards. Track all material movement through Kojo, including receiving, issuing, transfers, and returns. Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages, damaged materials, or discrepancies. Support the Tool and Fleet Manager with the check-in and check-out of tools, and help track their movement between the warehouse and job sites. Keep the warehouse, yard, and storage areas clean, safe, and compliant with company policies and safety requirements. Support the Construction and Service departments by preparing orders, loading trucks, and coordinating urgent material needs. Assist with vendor returns, warranty items, and documentation. Ensure materials are stored properly, including weather protection and secure placement.

Qualifications

Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or construction logistics is an asset. Ability to

operate forklifts

and other material-handling equipment (training/certification can be provided). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using computer systems and software for inventory, data entry, and communication Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely. Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic understanding of construction materials is an asset.
