The Opportunity:

Scope of the position

The Warehouse Associate/ Driver performs warehouse duties and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing - receiving, picking, packing, staging, shipping, and general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Make deliveries, both local and long haul, to our Customers. Load product into trucks

Duties and Responsibilities

Make deliveries, both local and long haul, to our Customers across the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Whistler/Squamish, North & South Vancouver Island and BC Interior & Okanagan Valley. This position requires the unloading of electrical and lighting products at some customer locations. Complete all necessary paperwork or shipping related documentation in an accurate or timely manner as needed. Load product into trucks according to the Truck Loading Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) either in single operation or in combination with another employee. Clean inside of truck or trailer - remove plastic, sticker backings and so on. Accurately receives and effectively puts away product to utilize time efficiently. Accurately picks and prepares shipping orders for branch transfers or customer pickup. Supports customer service by assisting customers in picking up and loading product. Actively participates in company training initiatives. General facility maintenance duties as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

Physically fitness with the ability to lift up to 55lbs to 75 lbs on a regular consistent basis. Ability to lift, bend & stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hrs per day) Ability to drive manual vehicle is a strong asset Ability to read, write & speak English (functional level required) Valid and current Class 5 Driver's License. A minimum of 1 year 5 Ton driving experience is required Clean Driver's Abstract Must carry legal documents/ eligibility to work in Canada. Knowledge of BC highways and geography Warehouse experience an asset, but not required (willing to train the right candidate) Highly reliable with exceptional work ethic. Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision. Is open to feedback and takes responsibility for personal development. Employees in this position must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance; most of the time is spent standing and walking. You must have the ability to climb, bend, squat, reach, grasp, and lift. Must be able to handle multiple tasks. Works easily with others in a high paced work environment. Be energetic and self-motivated. Always maintain a business-like manner. Dedicated to continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to reliably commute to work Must have your own vehicle.
