Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Handler to join our team at our Winnipeg location.
What You Will Do:
Verify parts to ensure they are correct before assembling customer orders
Assist in stocking and maintaining inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas
Re-stock shelves and move parts
Assist customers when looking for parts
Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
May assist with shipping and receiving
May assist with loading vehicles
May occasionally deliver products with an FGI vehicle
Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
MUST HAVE 1 year of general warehouse experience or order picker experience using an RF Scanner or barcode gun.
MUST BE ABLE to meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75- 100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers.
Valid class 5/G license with 5 years of Canadian driving experience required
High school diploma, GED, or other high school equivalence certificate
Excellent customer service skills - dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers
Strong written and verbal skills - ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues
Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house systems
Heavy-duty parts knowledge or background is an asset
